I was born and raised in the St. Louis area. I received my MFA in printmaking from Ohio University in 2005. I received my BFA in art and design from Southern Illinois University in 2001. I currently reside and work in the metro east St. Louis area. As an artist I have had many exhibitions in the St. Louis area and in the midwest. I am also studying graphic design at Southwestern Illinois College part-time.
I have other interests outside of art such as reading, watching movies, being outdoors (biking and hiking), listening to music, going to concerts, traveling, and spending time with my family.
From scraps and pieces of everyday life, I make work that references landscape, place, memory and current events. Working intuitively and playfully, I construct new and imaginative landscapes that can be disorienting. It is map-like but doesn't quite function like a map.
